Ian Packs His First Lunch! 05.22.2209

Ian is in half day kindergarten which means that he doesn't eat lunch at school. Friday was Field and Fun day for the kindergarten classes and all of the kids went to school for a full. To help with the transition in to first grade, the kids all ate in the cafeteria. I tried to get Ian to buy his lunch but he insisted on packing. He chose to pack Goldfish crackers, Gogurt, milk, and a Capri Sun.

I spent the day with Ian at school and helped with the morning Field Day activities. After a couple of hours of playing outside in 90 degree weather, it was lunch time. If Ian looks sweaty, dirty, and disheveled in this picture it's because he is! He went to school clean and well groomed but was a sweaty mess by lunch time.

Ian's Lunch. He Also Had The Same Thing For Dinner. 3.20.2009

Another reason that we have a Sam's Club membership is that they sell 4.1 pound boxes of Goldfish for $7.48. Goldfish are a staple in Connor and Ian's diet. Today Ian had large quantities of Goldfish and Gogurt for both lunch and dinner.

I don't have a picture of Connor's dinner to post because he ate at a birthday party tonight. He tells me that he had 10 squares of cheese and pepperoni pizza to eat while at Ten Pin Bowling Alley for Rainey's 8th birthday.

Connor's Lunch 3.20.2009

I spent Connor's entire first grade year of school packing him healthy lunch items. He spent the entire year throwing away every single sandwich, string cheese, and fruit item away. He's in second grade now and I will admit that he has won the lunch battle. There is almost nothing nutritious in his lunch. Ever. Today I packed Connor some Cool Ranch Doritos, Cheddar Cheese Goldfish, Crazy Feet Fruit Rollup, and a bottle of water.
