Happy birthday to my mom!

My mom's birthday was this past Sunday and we all convened on her house for dinner, dessert, and fun.

David decided to fire up the chocolate fountain as an appetizer.

Wise Owl Chips, Chinese Food, and Iacono's

My mom and Steve love Wise Owl potato chips. They aren't typically found in central Ohio and they always stock up on them when they can find them while on out-of-state road trips. I happened up 4 bags of these salty carbs while I was at Big Lots recently and gifted them to Pam and Steve for Christmas.

Here is take out from Joey Chang's in Hilliard. This isn't your ordinary takeout Chinese. This is high class carryout from a sit down restaurant. Siam chicken, Triple Delight, and dumplings.

Iacono's pizza!

Ian opted for chicken fingers from Iacono's. The real star of this picture is obviously Ian. He's awesome.

Guest contributors - my mom & sister-in-law!

My mom and sister-in-law, Mandy, were kind enough to email me pictures of their recent dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.

The Cheesecake Factory is known to be generous with their portions and my mom's entree was no exception. She ordered chicken (on the left) and steak (on the right) in a red wine sauce with mushrooms, served with mashed potatoes.

Mandy ordered shrimp scampi and salmon with asparagus.

Dessert! I can't remember the specifics of this dish but I can tell that involves apples and ice cream.

Okay, this portion size is over the top. Even by Cheesecake Factory standards.
